TikTok Live 2 of 4

Preparing To Go Live

Lesson 2: My 2–3 Minute LIVE Setup

Welcome to Lesson 2!

Now that you understand why I believe TikTok LIVE is one of the most powerful tools for growing your business, it’s time to get everything set up so you’re ready to confidently press the Go LIVE button.

One of the biggest reasons people delay going LIVE is because they think the setup is complicated. The good news is—it isn’t. Once you’ve done it a few times, this entire process only takes about two to three minutes.

Prepare your banner—or board and arrow or whatever TikTok feature you’re currently using—ahead of time. Keep it clean, simple, and easy to read. Your goal is simply to give viewers an easy way to find you or learn more if they’re interested.

Remember that TikTok is constantly evolving. At different times, banners, boards, and other features may perform better than others. Don’t become attached to one tool. Learn the principles, stay flexible, and continue testing what works best for you.

Before every LIVE, I make sure my title is ready, my important settings are checked, and my filtered comments are turned on. I also encourage you to complete your About Me section because many viewers will look at it after visiting your LIVE.

Another habit that has worked well for me is posting a TikTok video about 30–60 minutes before going LIVE. Then I spend a couple of minutes engaging on TikTok before starting my own broadcast.

Before You Move On:

● Prepare your banner or preferred LIVE feature.

● Practice uploading it until you’re comfortable.

● Check your LIVE settings.

● Complete your About Me section.

● Develop a simple pre-LIVE routine you can repeat every day.

In Lesson 3, you’ll learn exactly how I keep conversations flowing naturally and create an atmosphere that keeps people watching.
