We have received reports of a potential issue with iPhone and iPad users: every time they visit the portal, they are asked to re-log in. This repeated login request interrupts workflow and wastes time. Fortunately, there is a straightforward fix that can help your Apple devices stay logged in, so you don’t have to enter your credentials every time you visit the portal. This guide will walk you through the necessary settings changes needed to solve this problem.

Why Does This Keep Happening?

Before diving into the solution, it helps to understand why your iPhone or iPad might keep asking for login details. The main reasons include:

  • Browser settings clearing cookies or site data

  • Private browsing mode enabled

  • Relay settings

Apple devices, especially when using Safari, may clear cookies or block certain site data by default to protect privacy. While this is good for security, it can cause websites to forget your login status.

Steps: (Safari)

  • Turn Off Private Browsing:

    • Open Safari, tap the Tabs icon (overlapping squares) in the bottom right. If it says "Private," tap the center menu, select a normal Tab Group, and tap Done.

  • Allow Cookies:

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Safari, and ensure Block All Cookies is turned off.

  • Turn Off iCloud Private Relay:

    • This feature can sometimes interfere with website tracking sessions. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Private Relay and toggle it OFF temporarily to test.

  • Enable Password Autofill for Easy Sign-Ins:

    • If you aren't staying logged in automatically, you can make logging in a one-tap process by saving your passwords:

      • Go to Settings > Passwords.

      • Tap Password Options.

      • Turn on Autofill Passwords. Select iCloud Passwords or your preferred password manager.

  • Follow up Tasks:

    • Finalize the process by going to Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, search for the website, swipe left, and tap Delete.

Steps: (Chrome)

  • Turn Off Incognito Mode:

    • Incognito tabs delete your login cookies when closed. Tap the Switch Tabs icon (square with a number) at the bottom, swipe to the normal tab section (left icon), and open a standard tab.

  • Turn On Sync:

    • Syncing keeps you actively connected to your Google account session. Open Chrome, tap the three dots (...), go to Settings, and tap Turn on Sync or ensure your account is active.

  • Allow Site Data:

    • Go to your iPhone's main Settings > Apps > Chrome and ensure Allow Cross-Website Tracking is toggled ON so sites can remember your login state.

  • Enable Chrome Password Autofill:

    • If a site requires a login for security (like a bank), you can make it a one-tap process by saving your passwords directly to Chrome:

    • Open Chrome and tap the three dots (...) > Settings > Password Manager. Toggle Save Passwords to ON. To make Chrome fill these passwords into other apps, go to your iPhone's Settings > Passwords > Password Options, and check the box next to Chrome.

  • Clear Corrupted Site Data

    • If one specific website keeps logging you out, clear its specific cache: Open Chrome, tap the three dots (...) > Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data. Change the time range to All Time, check Cookies, Site Data, and tap Clear Browsing Data. Note: This will log you out of all sites once, but fixes the loop.
